I feel like I have been on vacation from blogging, even though for the past 5 months I have been creating content through video like crazy. So its not for being lazy... well lets call it like it really is... I was lazy!
I guess you could say that the roundabout reason I have not posted to my blog in 5 months is I have been busy with business. But that is not fair to you, so I will just say that I appreciate you sticking with me through my "moment" (yeah I know it is a long moment) of laziness.
It took another moment of being 100% honest with myself to realize what exactly was really going on, even though I didn't really want to admit that.
But the good news is that I'm back (like my boy MJ) for good and I plan to post a lot more often than I used to in the past when I was regular... no pun intended. I did have a point to this post, oh yeah my laziness.
You see it can happen to anyone. If you take your eye of the ball for a moment, you get smacked right in the head. It can be very easy to NOT do the things you are supposed to do.
In fact, as I have found out over the last 5 months, it is much easier NOT to do something than it is to follow through with your word. You see we are all attracted to the lazy side of life. That little voice in your head that tells you tomorrow is another day and it can wait.
Well to be quite honest with you, whatever IT is for you CAN'T wait. If you truly want to be successful in all areas of your life including internet marketing, there is no tomorrow. Today is all you have and you better make the best of it!
One of my favorite quotes is from Kim Lyons and it goes like this, "Yesterday is a canceled check; Tomorrow is a promissory note; Today is the only cash you have, so spend it wisely."
Whether it is spending more time with your spouse (or girlfriend) and kids, making sure you eat right and work out each day, bringing your A game to the internet marketing arena (or in my case writing a simple blog post every once in a while), and most importantly, spending time with God and his word each day, there is no tomorrow.
So learn it from me, don't be lazy. Turn OFF the TV and the video games. Stop watching videos on Youtube, listening to music on Pandora, or wasting your time on Facebook, Twitter, or Myspace.
Find the right mentor to follow and just get to work going after your goals and dreams. You'll be happy to know that most of them are already right in front of you to grab and enjoy, if you just open up your eyes and stop being lazy.
Did I just zing myself here again one last time? Who knows, but I feel better now that my laziness is behind me and this post is done.
Life continues tomorrow and I'm prepared to enjoy every precious moment of it. What are you going to do?

You Get What You Focus On
The end of the year is upon us. As I sit here reflecting about all the trials and tribulations I have wrestled with this year, I have a deep sense of gratitude that I have been able to fulfill my promises.
A promise to take care of a newborn daughter, a promise to save our household from certain demise, and a promise to be better than the year before. You see this year has taken my wife and I on a journey from the depths of complete and utter failure offline, to the heights of infinite success on the internet.
This year life threw everything negative that it could our way, but we still prevailed. We suffered, we had frustrations, we doubted our abilities to survive, but we still prevailed. Thank you God.
As I turn 29 years young tomorrow, I can truly say that this year (2009) has been one of the most trying years in my life. At the same time, it has been one of the most life altering experiences, filled with joy, love, and lots of successes as well.
With darkness there is always light right around the corner. My wife and I had a choice to make this year, do we allow the current failures we were going through at the time to define our future, or do we decide to stand up and fight and do something different?
Well we chose to stand up and start an online business. We chose to FOCUS on the positive things that might happen with this new business rather than to focus on all the negative things that were happening around us.
We chose to follow the simple steps provided by an online community and our mentor instead of trying to reinvent the wheel ourselves. And finally, we chose to put in the hard work each day to get the results that we wanted.
What did we get in return?
The greatest gift we could have never asked for; the ability to have the time to raise our daughter the way we wanted. We could actually work from home, make money online, and watch her grow.
Experience her saying her first words. Experience her crawling and walking for the first time. And moving forward we know that we will be the parents who are always there for their child.
It has definitely been a life altering year and if I had to do it over again, I would not change anything. You see it was our ability to focus in times of dispair that allowed us to shine when our world was the darkest.
By focusing and being relentless toward our goals, the results were extraordinary. Are you focusing on the positive aspects of your life each day, or are you dwelling only on the negative?
Take it from our experience, focus on the light and you can accomplish anything you want in life. Even the things you never thought were possible.

Why I Truly Love Marketing On The Internet...
Today was another awesome day! As I sit here writing this at 10:00 pm, I am just now realizing how blessed I really am.
I get to wake up everyday at whatever time I want and not have to worry about the stress of getting ready within a certain time frame, driving my car in rush hour traffic, and making it to work on time.
I don't have to worry about making a boss or a group of managers happy everyday. But most importantly, I don't have to worry about whether or not I will have a job come tomorrow.
In fact I literally wake up, take my time eating breakfast with my wife and baby girl, while we enjoy her morning shows on Nick Jr. Other mornings I sit in my back porch and just relax, taking in the cool breeze and enjoying the tranquility nature can provide.
Once I am done taking some morning time for me or my family, I walk ten steps and I am in my home office. Most of the time I will put in two solid hours of hard work, and then I will take a break. Maybe I will watch some TV and eat lunch.
Maybe I will play some Wii, go for an afternoon walk, or get some exercise in. Maybe I decide to take the rest of the day off so we can hang out by the pool. After my break is done, I usually get back to work for two more hours and then the cycle repeats itself until I decide to be done.
Some days I put in 3-4 hours and others I put in 5-6 hours. The point is I have options, and this makes every day extra special. Because quite frankly all we have in our lives is today, and we need to be in a position to make sure we can live it to its fullest.
So how do your days stack up? Are you getting the most out of today? Is what you are currently doing allowing you to have the lifestyle that leads to your happiness each and every day?
