As I wrap up another Friday watching the NBA on ESPN, I am sitting here reflecting on some of the conversations I had with people who called me this week to learn how to make money online. Although each conversation was different, there was one recurring theme that kept coming up.
Almost every person I talked with had a deep fear of failure. They were so afraid of it, they had almost become paralyzed into a state of permanent indecision.
They obviously were not happy with their current lives and wanted to make a change, but the thought of putting themselves out there and getting burned again was just too much.
But there was one gentleman this week who although had been burned in the past, was willing to move forward. You see he had been working as a laborer for the same company for the last 35 years!
I'm talking about hard manual labor here folks, not the run of the mill sit down in a cubicle all day job. Although those jobs stink for their own reasons.
Now, this gentleman had been giving 100% at his job for so long, that he was finally contemplating retirement. Only one problem, he couldn't retire because the investments he had been building for that same period of time had all but disentegrated in the recent economic downturn.
So he turned to the Internet to see if he could find a way to create a retirement income and walk away permanently from his laborer job. After struggling to find a way to make money online for the past few months, he decided to give me a call today.
We spoke for about 30 minutes and at the end of the call he decided that he was going to follow in my footsteps. He wants to use the same formula for success that I use to finally retire and buy a vacation home in South Florida.
He wants to build his business online over the next 6-12 months and then spend his days on his boat fishing. I think with internet marketing he can accomplished that! :-)
In fact, I have no doubt in my mind that he will follow through on what we teach him and that he will have success making money online. The reason, because his desire and will to walk away from his current job is stronger than his fear of failure.
His desire and will to finally have the life that he has always wanted is much stronger than any obstacles life can throw at him, especially online. He does not care that he has limited computer skills, because he will learn as he goes.
He does not care that he does not have all of his ducks in a row, because he knows he will be following a step by step plan that works. So with blind faith, a positive attitude, and a will as strong as I have seen in a while, he begins his journey towards success.
So what will you do? The next time you find another potential vehicle to make money online with... will you continue to be afraid of failure or will you finally break through your fear and go after the success in your life that you deserve? If you care about your future I hope it is the latter.

Internet Marketing - Google Adwords: A Love and Hate Relationship?
I was recently reminded two months ago that we as internet marketers are all at the mercy of Google. Whether it is natural search rankings, Adwords, or Adsense, he who earns money through Google can also die by their hand.
You see I like many other marketers have learned one thing, Google has more money than God and they could really care less about us marketers out here in the trenches.
What they care the most about is their user experience and they will protect and improve it at all costs. They know that without the users who entrust their lives to Google each day, they would not have such a thriving business.
But can you really make big money online without Google? I would venture to say that the answer to that question is a resounding yes! There are many people who have gotten themselves to making multiple five figures per month or more even without Google's blessing.
But here is the real question, why would you want to do that? Although living in Google land is a love and hate relationship, you can please them and their users by simply creating a better website.
Here are some key points to consider the next time you get slapped by Google and are looking to get back on.
1. Unique Content Is King!
Times have changed, but only slightly. It used to be that content was king on the Internet. However with the information age also came the age of piracy.
Everyone thinks that if they find information online, they are instantly given the right to repost that information on their own website. What you have to realize is that Google ONLY loves unique content.
So don't plagarize someone else's work, take the time to create your own. This way, Google will love your site and reward you for the time to you took make it unique. This includes pictures, videos, and text.
2. Single Page Sales Pages and Landing Pages Are History
Google took a recent poll of all of its users and found that most single page sales pages and landing pages did not provide any useful content to its users. So they are now on a mission to penalize and remove them from their system.
So to comply with their new rules, you must create a site that has multiple pages. This can include things like a home page, about us, articles, links, frequently asked questions, contact us, shopping cart, site map and so on and so forth. The point is they want to see some depth to your site.
3. Add More Content To Your Site Regularly
Take the time each month to add more unique content to your website. This will keep the spiders coming back for more and will continue to increase your relevancy in your niche.
This is important because it drives the two most important factors in Google loving or hating you, page rank and quality score.
4. Link Building Is A Must
This used to be an optional item when it came to using Google. Now it is required. You must take the time to contact websites in your niche and exchange links with them.
Again this will increase relevancy and even provide natural search engine rankings for your main keywords. This means lots of free traffic now and for years to come.
5. No Redirects To Another Website
This is the toughest change Google has implemented to their Adwords program. You cannot take a user to another website to sell them something at any point while they are clicking around on your website.
If they find one affiliate link, they are likely to slap you and eventually ban you. However, I have found through the grapevine that this does not apply to https pages that lead to a shopping cart or checkout page.
So if you are in an affiliate program, the work around is to get a hold of the owner of the website and ask them to link directly to the order page. This will allow you to continue doing business.
I hope that this information regarding Google has been helpful. I know that the love and hate relationship with Google will continue for years to come.
But no matter whether you love or hate them, you have to admit that when they love you, life tends to be a little easier on the Internet as a marketer.

Why I Truly Love Marketing On The Internet...
Today was another awesome day! As I sit here writing this at 10:00 pm, I am just now realizing how blessed I really am.
I get to wake up everyday at whatever time I want and not have to worry about the stress of getting ready within a certain time frame, driving my car in rush hour traffic, and making it to work on time.
I don't have to worry about making a boss or a group of managers happy everyday. But most importantly, I don't have to worry about whether or not I will have a job come tomorrow.
In fact I literally wake up, take my time eating breakfast with my wife and baby girl, while we enjoy her morning shows on Nick Jr. Other mornings I sit in my back porch and just relax, taking in the cool breeze and enjoying the tranquility nature can provide.
Once I am done taking some morning time for me or my family, I walk ten steps and I am in my home office. Most of the time I will put in two solid hours of hard work, and then I will take a break. Maybe I will watch some TV and eat lunch.
Maybe I will play some Wii, go for an afternoon walk, or get some exercise in. Maybe I decide to take the rest of the day off so we can hang out by the pool. After my break is done, I usually get back to work for two more hours and then the cycle repeats itself until I decide to be done.
Some days I put in 3-4 hours and others I put in 5-6 hours. The point is I have options, and this makes every day extra special. Because quite frankly all we have in our lives is today, and we need to be in a position to make sure we can live it to its fullest.
So how do your days stack up? Are you getting the most out of today? Is what you are currently doing allowing you to have the lifestyle that leads to your happiness each and every day?

Part 5: 5 Daily Activities Of Successful Individuals
If you invest $1000.00 into the stock market, real estate, or any other type of business, what is the one thing that will directly affect whether or not you will receive a return on that investment?
Many different answers to come to my mind, like luck, timing, exit strategy, your knowledge base, and a few others. But in the end, they are all wrong. The right answer is patience.
Patience Determines The Level Of Your Success
Patience is the one virtue that allows you to build an internet business that can stand the test of time, and not just be around for a couple of months. It involves planting seeds online, watering them with your effort and money each day, and then watching them grow into big and strong positive cash flow producing trees.
Now if you are reading this article looking for an easy or quick way to make money online, then you are fooling yourself. There is NOTHING online that will provide instant success!
I know it sounds pretty harsh, but it is 100% true. Anything in life that lasts and is worthwhile takes work, effort, money, and time to develop. You are going to have to be patient with your online business.
I can't stress this enough. Creating a profitable online business is not going to be easy. You are going to have to be patient because you will be learning a lot of new skills online and if you rush them, it will easily destroy your chances of making a long-term profit.
Also, do not look for or take shortcuts! This is just going to cause you to lose more time in the long run, because taking shortcuts online does not work. There are proven ways to make money online and none of them involve taking shortcuts.
Always be realistic about your business and remember these two things:
1. To create, market, and run your own internet business can take at the very least up to 3-6 months.
2. To make it extremely profitable, can take up to 6-12 months, if not many years!
So be prepared to invest your time, money, and effort to make your online business successful, as well as being patient enough to see the seeds you plant today grow into the money making trees you intended them to be.

Part 4: 5 Daily Activities Of Successful Individuals
If time management, motivation, and focus are your building blocks for success, then the next daily activity of all successful individuals is your permanent solution to failure. This can be summed up with one word, persistence.
Without Persistence, There Is No Success
Persistence is where you decide to move forward with something, even when failing at it over and over again. Many people are afraid of trying new things mostly because of failure.
What they do not realize is that if you are not failing, you are not doing anything in life! Take the popular animation film from Walt Disney called Meet The Robinsons. The theme of the entire movie had one catch phrase, "Keep Moving Forward!"
It was repeated in the movie over and over again because the main character, Lewis Robinson, had a bad temper and when he failed, he would throw a fit and give up.
What he learned as the movie progressed was that each failure taught him a specific lesson about how to succeed in the future and by persisting, it would make success an inevitable event.
You see you can't think of failure as an insurmountable obstacle, but as a way to improve your internet business. When you fail and take a step in the wrong direction, take the time to fully evaluate what went wrong and take the proper precautions to correct them in the next step you take.
I am not saying that failing is not frustrating, but once you come to terms that it is really not negative and meant to show you the way to success, you won't give up. And not giving up and continuing to on your path no matter what hits you on the way will bring you success.
If fact, I can almost guarantee that if you put in the time, the effort, and you stay persistent, you will have a much greater chance to succeed in all aspects of life than if you don't. It does not matter what you have accomplished already or what you have not, today is a new day.
It does not matter what economic situation you are in today, there will be another chance tomorrow to make a change. What you get done in your life and business today will determine what happens tomorrow.
Do not give up on your goals and dreams. Make the commitment, start today, and persist until you reach the milestones you have set in your online business.
Just keep these heart felt words of wisdom in your mind at all times, "Persistence, persistence, persistence. I will have persistence, because by persisting success will be mine!"

Part 3: 5 Daily Activities Of Successful Individuals
I often get asked, "How do you have the confidence to start new ventures and follow them through to be successful?" Well, the main reason is because I know that when it comes down to it, I will be able to focus and get things completed in a timely manner, when the next person may not.
Focus Is The Key To Success
If success is in your horizon, you are going to have to master the simple but often difficult skill of focusing. Finding the focus in our lives is something we all struggle with and have to figure out at some point, and I believe that right now is the best time.
Have you ever heard the expression, "It is better to do your chores now instead of leaving them for tomorrow?" I am sure you have hundreds of times, and running a business online is no different.
Focusing your life around the things you want to be successful in should be priority number one for you. Then, all you have to do is give time to those things everyday and watch yourself accomplish your goals and dreams.
For instance, in our lives these are the main four things my wife and I focus on:
- Religion
- Family and Friends
- Creating Profitable Businesses
- Exercise or Hobbies
Now, we don't focus our time on the broad categories you see above. We focus our time on accomplishing the daily and weekly tasks we have organized into our schedules. We do this by following a process I like to call Micro-Targeting. This is where you do the prep work to actually accomplish one of of your tasks.
So if I say that I want to write a new article, I will write out the purpose or message of the article, do some research, pick some keywords, and then I am ready to do my article. This helps me accomplish my task faster and I don't just sit there trying to think of what to write about wasting time.
The whole point is instead of just sitting down and saying that today I am going to write an article, I am micro-targeting my way towards that goal with baby steps. Each of the baby steps is the work required to actually accomplish the task, but because I am able to break them down into finite steps, the task now seems doable.
As I accomplish each of my tasks everyday, I come one giant step closer towards achieiving my main goal. The closer I get, the more I focus. The more I focus, the more I get done, and the cycle continues until I reach my goal.
Why is doing this process so important to a person's success? Always remember that as human beings most of us are naturally more efficient when we work in an environment of order, not chaos. When you first place your focus on the baby steps, and then on getting the task at hand done, reaching your main broad goals will now become a reality.
You will not be hampered anymore by looking at a goal and thinking that it is too difficult or big to accomplish. You now know you need to break your goals down to the finite steps and focus on those everyday. You now know that success occurs when you focus on the details everyday, not the big picture.
After focus, the only other variable left that will determine your success is if you are willing to do the work and have persistence. I will cover this more in my next article. Make it a great day.

Part 2: 5 Daily Activities Of Successful Individuals
Today I am going to reveal the second activity successful people do on a daily basis. It is probably the most important of the five, because it directly affects whether or not you do the others at all.
Finding The Right Motivation
Motivation is one of the biggest reasons that most internet marketers don't attain any success. This happens mostly because of lack of energy or lack of clear thoughts on what to do.
Think about it for a minute, how many times have you read a book or an article that outlined a specific marketing plan (or a set of clear action steps), where you could make tons of money online? Probably more than once, right?
Well, what most people think after they read something like that is, "This is too much work or I don't know how to do what this person does. There is no way I can reproduce their success." So immediately since the first thought in their mind is negative, their motivation is not going to be there.
You see I have learned over the last 8 years of doing Internet marketing that people tend to evaluate each plan of action by how much total work is required on their part, instead of on whether or not the plan will help them reach their goals and dreams.
I want you to understand one key variable today. The reason most successful people are successful is not because they take huge leaps and bounds each day. It is because they are happy and content to take small baby steps that will culminate to a huge success over a long period of time.
This is where many people run into major problems and give up. They try to take shortcut after shortcut, and eventually they are lost. People need to stop being lazy and start applying what they learned when they were children.
Do you remember being successful at reading or playing a sport the first time you tried it? No, of course not. It took time and a lot of practice to become efficient and successful at whatever you were doing. The same thing applies with Internet Marketing.
For the most part, becoming a huge success online does not happen overnight. This is why having the right motivation is so important. You are going to have to find a motivating force inside of you to push you to succeed.
Whether you are motivated by money, competition, power, or even better, helping your fellow human being, you are going to have to find it within you. Once you know why and for who you are working so hard each day for, it gets a lot easier to get up and get things accomplished. In fact, it becomes fun!
My motivations are very simple and can be divided into two parts. The first is to help as many people as possible to reach the same type of success I have reached. The second is to achieve and maintain total financial and time freedom, so I am able to share my life with my wife, daughter, family, and my friends, anytime I choose.
So how can you find your motivation? Take a deep look inside yourself and find out what is most important to you. Make a list and write it down from most important to least important.
Take a separate sheet of paper and write down the following:
"I, Your Name, promise to get up or stay up late each and every day to do the work that is necessary to achieve my goals and dreams. I am determined and will not quit. I am doing this everyday because.... then list your reasons."
Post that right in front of your computer and make sure you read it every morning before you get started, until you have it memorized. Then, you will not forget and you will not give up until you have reached your success.
As I stated earlier, my motivation is helping other people succeed and achieve total freedom like I have. What will it be for you?
